How to read the heatmap
Four things to know before you start scanning for your next market.
LGA vs suburb
Use the LGA / Suburb toggle up top. Start at LGA level for a broad regional read, then switch to suburb to compare individual markets — and toggle Houses or Units.
Pick a metric
Choose a single metric in the left panel to colour the map — Typical Price, 1-Year Growth or Indicative Yield on the free view, or the premium HtAG RCS™ scores.
Colour & legend
Each metric has its own colour key (bottom-right of the map). For Typical Price it runs blue for the priciest markets through to red for the most affordable. Click a band to filter.
Top areas & drill-down
The Top Areas panel ranks what’s in view; click any region to drill in and step back out with the breadcrumb. Then validate a shortlist street-by-street in StreetLens™.
Isolate the metric that matters
Colour the whole country by a single factor. Three metrics are free; the composite scores unlock with a subscription.
Each metric carries its own colour key — 1-Year Growth and the RCS scores use their own scales — so always read the legend shown on the map for the metric you’ve selected.
