Mortgage repayment calculator

Fortnightly here is true fortnightly: the yearly rate divided by 26, over 26 repayments a year. It is not half the monthly repayment.

How it’s calculated

The method behind your estimate

How this estimate works

Enter the loan balance, annual rate and term to compare regular repayments. Extra repayments and an offset can change interest and the time needed to repay the loan.

What to check before you act

The rate stays fixed for the scenario. Lender fees, future rate changes and lender-specific daily interest calculations can differ.

Sources and further guidance

Still have a question? Contact us

Is fortnightly repayment half a monthly payment?

Here it uses the annual rate divided by 26 over 26 payments a year. It is not the accelerated method of paying half a monthly payment every fortnight.

Do I need a subscription?

No. The complete repayment calculation, offset and extra-payment inputs are free.

Is the mortgage repayments calculator free to use?

Yes. Every HtAG calculator is free to use with your own figures, and you do not need an account. An HtAG plan adds property and suburb data to the calculators that support it.
